These easy-care plants are perfect for new plant parents due to their laidback nature. Your Prince of Orange grows best in a bright indirect sunlight within well-draining soil We recommend a potting mix that is on the chunkier side to allow for root aeration. Prince of Orange plants will also quickly adapt to a shady space, so the bright light is not a necessity.
Some additional plant care tips for this popular tropical plant include applying a water-soluble houseplant fertilizer in the growing months of spring and summer. Your plant may go dormant in the colder months, and it is important that you stop fertilizing at that time.
If your Philodendron plant exhibits yellowing of leaves, do not fret. Older leaves tend to die off to make room and give energy for new growth. Some other common causes of yellowing leaves are under and overwatering, which often results in root rot, as well as pests like spider mites feeding off of your plant.
